Ghosting issues with PU Coated waterproof fabric? Try this adjustment

Ghosting is a common challenge in dye sublimation. It happens when your transfer paper shifts or hasn’t stuck to the fabric as you open your heat press. This leaves a shadow or ghost effect on the edges of your design and the transfer is blurry.

Our recommended heat press time and temperature settings are 195-200 degrees for 60 seconds but this caused ghosting for a customer who was using an Adkins large format heat press. After some trial and error –

‘We have it working perfectly now. Our settings were 170 degrees for 120 seconds’

Give it a try if you are experiencing ghosting issues.
